Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky
Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky's seascapes are chock full of ephemeral goodness, mystery and energy. Aivazovsky was a 19th century Armenian-Russian artist who specialized in paintings of the ocean, creating about 6,000 works of art over his lifetime. He even became an academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts and was appointed the "official artist of the Russian Navy to paint seascapes, coastal scenes and naval battles."
